Any downtime with carboxytherapy ?The new concept in aesthetic procedure is having the lowest possible downtime. Many patients ask about how long they should stop working ?

Carboxytherapy is a technique with very little downtime. Injection are insufflating co2 gas which is a natural gas produced by the body itself. The body has all the systems to eliminate this amount of CO2 in a few minutes. Although immediate visual effects of gas injections may be important, almost 100% of the patient leave the office with nothing anyone may notice.

Carboxytherapy for the rejuvenation of the decolleté : There is no downtime when you treat the decolleté. The décolleté stays inflated for 2 to 4 minutes and becomes red for around 15 minutes. If there is a need to remain perfect when you exit from the office, make can hide the redness.

Carboxytherapy for eye wrinkles or dark circles: There is no downtime when you have a CO2 procedure for the eye. The gas will inflate the eye area (lids mainly) for something around 4 to 5 minutes. Everything returns to normal. There should not be any redness when the patient exits from the office, clinic or SPA.

Carboxytherapy for strecth marks: There is also no downtim. The pop-corn effect of the treated stretch mark will fade is 3 to 5 minutes. The redness may last for 15 minutes even less.

Carboxytherapy for localized fat and cellulite: No downtime also. The inflated aspect will resolve to normal in a couple of minutes.

Carboxytherapy for the neck skin laxity: The inflated aspect resolves in 2 or 3 minutes. The redness may last for 10 minutes to 20 minutes. It may be covered with make up if necessary.

Patient must know that around 20% of the sessions may result in bruises which may take 4 to 8 days to resolve completely. It is also important to know that under-eye treatments may result in accidental O2 (air) injections. This phenomenon is rare. Some important inflammatory reaction may then occur and may last for 4 days to one week.

Compared to laser procedures or other aesthetic treatments, carboxytherapy is probably one of the treatments with shortest even null downtime.
