Looks like some studies are on the way to prove CO2 is safe and working. The Northwestern University started a study which is supposed to be finished by Sept 2010 on carbon dioxide injections.
The purpose is: The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of the carbon dioxide for subcutaneous fat reduction.
We are anxiously waiting for the resultas in Oct 2010 to have something fresh and seriously made.

The team of Carboxyworld is working with engineers to create a simple but efficient carboxytherapy medical device at an affordable cost for the MD who want to discover CDT. The item has the size of a fluorescent ink pen, a weight around 200 g. Its requires no external energy and is fuly manual.
This system has been designed to handle most of the CO2 protocols with 3 selectable gas flows (30 cc/min, 70 cc/min, 120 cc/min). The idea when creating the item was to provide doctors with an ultra portable device which does not require to get big CO2 tanks from medical gas companies. Our invention is protected with a patent.
We are on the final approach with final tests at the factory. We have started making the investigation to get the CE MEDICAL approval . We should be able to lower prices to something lower than 1000 EUR/1200 US$ per item which is re-usable, sterilizable. The release date will probably be something around the end of 2009.
